In order to experience the multimedia content of this site you will need to have the free Apple QuickTime™ and Macromedia Flash™ plug-in's installed in your browser. You can download them using the links on the home page.

In order to navigate the site, start at the home page and follow the on screen instrcutions. You will be lead to a page with the first location map. Clicking on the map will open up the first panorama in a pop up window. This first panorama is a medium size and resolution image suited to dial-up connections, if you want to see a full screen version click on the 'Full Screen 360' link at the top of the page which will convert this page to a full screen version.

When you have finished exploring this page you can link to the next panorama by finding the hotspot within the panorama or us the close window button in the top corner of your browser page to see the page behind.

You will now see a page with a 3d reconstruction showing how the Athens Arcopolis may have looked when it was first built. Click on the hotspots to see different parts of the site.

To exploring the panoramas in either Medium or Full Screen view you need to place your mouse cursor in the middle of the panorama, press and hold the left mouse button and then drag the mouse cursor in the direction you want to look. Don't forget you can look UP and Down as well as Round. As you move your cursor around the image, your cursor will change into a pointing finger. When it does this you can click on this location to bring text into the text box at the side or bottom of the panorama image giving more information about the object or location you are looking at.

It's easy once you get the hang of it, so have fun and explore.
