Acropolis Hill, also called the "Sacred Rock" of Athens, is the most important site of the city. During Perikles' Golden Age, ancient Greek civilization was represented in an ideal way on the hill and some of the architectural masterpieces of the period were erected within its grounds.

Visitors to this tour can navigate through a series of full screen panoramas from eight locations, one from the Philopappou Monument and seven within the Acropolis.

Beginning at the (1)Philopappou Monument and linking to the (2)Propylaia of Mnesikles, then entering the Acropolis to a (3)central view of the site with the  Parthenon and Erechtheion Temple in view. Then to a view point directly between the Parthenon and Erechtheion. From her you link to a view from the rear of the site, which has a view of Athens,  with some of the most important landmarks of the city like Lycabettus Hill, Panathinaiko Stadium (the ancient Stadium where the first Modern Olympics where held in 1896 and Marathon ended in the 2004 Olympics) and the colossal temple of Zeus. From this point you can link into the Parthenon and imagine it 2500 years ago where the huge gold and ivory statue of Athena stood. The next link takes you to the front of the Parthenon (the location of the flame of 2004 Olympics and finally move to the right of the temple to see a group of tourists visiting Acropolis and get a magnificent view over Athens City. During the navigation you will have the opportunity to listen to contemporary music and commentary on the monuments as well as click info hotspots where extra information about the Acropolis is revealed in the text boxes adjacent to the panorama images.
